Psalms 134, Psalms 146 – 150

Thursday

I absolutely love singing hymns of praise and what better way to end the book of Psalms than a song dedicated to praising God (Psalm 150).

Yesterday we talked about God filling His temple but not being confined to it. The opening line in this Psalm leaves no doubt as to where one can find God. “Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens.” God is everywhere and we are called upon to praise Him everywhere.

Everyone and everything is called upon to praise the Lord, by singing and by using musical instruments. There is no mistake that God calls us to use these talents when we praise Him. Have you ever just experienced music? Music seems to fill our senses and help us to connect with the Holy Spirit in ways that cannot be explained. Music unites us together with other worshippers, even when we don’t know the language.

Praise the Lord, let everything that has breath – Praise the Lord.

Praising God in word and song!
