Joshua 19 – 21

(Easter Sunday)

Happy Easter, I hope your day is filled with many blessings! He is Risen, Christ is Risen indeed!

So I thought yesterday’s reading with all those names was difficult, well, what about today! More towns, more allotments… more places. But guess what, there are some great things happening here today.

First God is always planning things out for us. Did you notice that He has the people provide cities of refuge for those who unintentionally kill someone? There are two reasons for this – one to spare the life of an innocent man, but also to keep the accuser from committing murder, by taking a life. There are going to be many such plans set out for the people – laws to live by, order to be created. God is a God of order. And because He loves us so much, He wants the very best for us. Which brings us to today – Easter. We are a people in need of a Savior, and following God’s plan from the very beginning, Jesus’ resurrection was a demonstration of God’s continuing love for us.

I may find it hard to read some of these chapters, but when I think of the Love that God has poured out for me, in and through these pages, I find that the places and names take on new meaning.

May your Easter be truly filled with the Power and Love of Jesus the Christ.
