Exodus 36 – 38

February 11, 2016 (Thursday)

So God sets about getting His tabernacle built. He calls on certain people who have been given special skills to perform the work. 36:2 says “Then Moses called Bezalel and Aholiab and every gifted artisan in whose heart the Lord had put wisdom, everyone

whose heart was stirred, to come and do the work.” (NIV, Italics mine

). God gave them the talent and the ability, but they had to have the desire to use those gifts for God’s work.

What talent and ability do you have that you are not using for the building up of God’s church (and remember church is not just a building, it is the Body of Christ)? Not only did the people give generously of their time and talents, but they also gave of their resources as well. Actually they brought more than the workers could use. Can you imagine the church receiving so many offerings that the leaders would have to say – stop giving?

May this be our attitude when we are called upon to give of our time, talent and resources.

Blessings

Pastor Kathy
