Hello church family! My name is Jessie Green and I am the new youth leader.
I have been coming to YFMC on and off since I was a teenager in 2006. Some of you may know my mom and dad Cline and Dawn Adams. I just turned 30 in September and celebrated with the youth group at the roller rink. It was such a fun time! I married my husband in 2018 and we are celebrating our 4 year anniversary on October 6th! We have two beautiful children together. Rowan is my son and he is 3 years old, and Willow is my daughter and she is 1 and a half.
My passion has always involved working with the next generation. Even when I was a kid myself I loved mentoring others and taking care of babies! I have been volunteering with VBS since around 2012 and I have had my toes dipped in ever since. I took a year or two off when I had my own children, but once they were old enough to be in the nursery I felt God pulling me back into the children’s and youth ministry. When Sara and Eric went on stage and asked if there was anyone who ever considered working with the youth I felt the Holy Spirit saying “YOU GIRLFRIEND!” So I started helping out as one of the leaders and it fulfilled something in my spirit I didn’t realize that I was missing.
Getting our next generation prepared to go out into the world is one of the most important things to me. Creating disciples with a deep and overflowing love for Jesus is my goal for our teens. We have been praying for harvesters to go out in the fields and I have been praying that our youth group would be part of those harvesters. That our kids coming up would be ready and that the field would be bountiful for a revival!! Thank you all for praying for me even before you knew it was me who would step into the roll. I appreciate the continued support and am so grateful for the church family we have here at YFMC!
