Well, in the reading today a very straight forward choice is given. Be obedient to God, follow the law, put God first and the rewards and blessings will be abundant; choose differently, and God will withhold His blessings and instead put His curse on you. Wow.

Deuteronomy 24 – 27

In Deuteronomy 26:5 – 10a, we find a short confession of faith. The history of the great exodus is related in just a few verses, but the importance to remember is once again stressed to the people. Remember who God is. God is a God of action, He not only rescued His people, He blessed them beyond all measure.
