Every one of these is a Psalm of praise. This is a good devotional to break apart and read separately at times when you are discouraged, or at times when you are celebrating!!
I almost put off reading and commenting until after Church today because I am a little behind. I know that probably sounds incredible, given my assurance in previous devotions that I have learned not to procrastinate devotional time, but the “struggle is real”.
I am so glad that I paused to read. Part of what I want to share with the congregation today is that the same God who sends us is the one who has “all authority in heaven and earth”. Incredible! And David is caught up in the same thought here. I love how he smiles and says to the mountains “hey, what are you guys running from? Huh?”
I think I must stop writing now….the place is “waking up” and the time for quiet contemplation of what God is doing has passed. Perhaps Psalm 112 would be a good opening to our worship service today….
