1 Chronicles 23 -25

Thursday

The work of the Church is about to get divided up. I am always amazed at how the God of the universe is also so concerned with details.

There seems to be some attention taken in the scriptures to the “little things” of life. The Bible tells us how certain people did certain things or how an object was used for this purpose or that. God is a God of the “little things” as well as a God of “great big things”. I can say that because of the number of times we read about directions for building, or directions for creating articles to be used in worship. Do you know that the proportions given for Noah’s Ark are still used today by ship builders? Sometimes we neglect the “little things” in life and they become very significant. It only takes a small amount of yeast to make bread rise, but what if you left it out? You get crackers. How about no salt on popcorn, yuk. What if there was a bolt not tightened down on an airplane? Disaster could strike. Maybe I might forget to take my blood pressure pill? It’s just a little pill, not very significant, but I think my heart would disagree (my doctor too). Do you get what I’m saying? Sometimes God needs us to pay attention to the little things before they grow out of control.

God is a god of order. He brought order into a world of chaos when He created the universe.

So in our reading for today, we see organization taking place, each part fits together with another. This person is in charge of these people who are in charge of others, etc.

In a world full of chaos, I hope that in some way your world will find order and harmony today and that peace will reign supreme.

Blessing for a stress-less day

Pastor Kathy
