Background Narrative:
I grew up in the church, my father was a minister and in the course of his ministry actually planted two thriving churches, as well as served 3 established ones. My mother was the song leader, choir director, secretary, and Sunday School teacher. We were expected to contribute to the life of the church and because of this I learned valuable skills and found my passion for kids ministry at an early age. I was very fortunate to have two loving parents, who never put their ministry before their family, though and so my sisters and I grew up with a very healthy view of God and the Church. As a testament to this, all 4 of us girls are in active ministry today and married to Godly men who are pastors, counselors and youth pastors.

How did you come to the Church?
We (my husband, Bill and I) had been attending church in Corry, but felt we wanted something a little closer since we are now living in Warren, and visited here in our church hunt. We feel at home and loved here, and it became an obvious choice for us pretty quickly.

Education & Life Experience:
I have a BA in missions and Christian Education from Circleville Bible College(Now known as Ohio Christian University) I have been involved in kid’s ministry most of my life. I started teaching Sunday School and VBS in my teens. After graduating college, I was with World Gospel Mission working in their inner city program (Peniel)in California, setting up and running various children and youth drop in centers in Oakland, San Francisco, and Stockton, CA.

After 5 years, I moved back to the area and have been involved in various children and youth ministries in the area, including a time here at this church in the mid 1990’s as my husband and I served as associate pastor, counselors and children and youth leaders under Rev. G. David Brooks.

I have spent the time since then working for the Salvation Army in their various children’s programs, both in Corry and now in Warren.
